Harper and Matt met at freshman orientation at Samford University, and had dated for four and a half years before they got engaged. Matt planned his proposal at the president of the University’s home, and was waiting for her in the garden which overlooked the university when he popped the question! “It was so special to have the university that meant so much to our relationship in the background,” Harper shared. “After we got engaged, we went back to my apartment and had a surprise party where we celebrated with our friends and family!” (A short while later, we shot their engagement session!)
These two are just a sweet, sweet couple, and their wedding was full of ramifications of this!
The handkerchief around the bride’s bouquet belonged to her grandmother who passed away.
Harper’s “something blue” was actually the bustle under her dress. The alterations lady put light blue strings and beads under the dress for the bustle. How cute is that?
And the invitations? Stinkin’ adorable. (See below)
As a bit of advice for any bride and groom currently planning, Harper says this: “Wedding planning can be fun, especially if you are confident in your decisions. Everyone has an opinion, but ultimately this is your day! Enjoy it and make choices that make you happy!”
That’s what it’s all about.
