Something we like asking our clients is what drew them to their venue choices; for today's couple, choosing the Natchez Hills Winery at Fontanel was a natural decision for their provincial-style wedding as it is close to the Bride's childhood home! This was our first time at The Fontanel and we can't wait to go back! The Inn was spilling over with southern charm and it was so peacefully nestled between Tennessee hills. There were bicycles for guests to ride throughout the winery and expansive grounds where golden light flooded in -- I wanted to stay all weekend! The wedding itself was a rustic affair as well, softened by elegant touches like flowers in shades of pink and sage green. Against the vineyard neutrals of chocolate brown and wine-red, it was a sophisticated take on the classic rustic look! The bride wore ballet shoes down the isle, something I've always wanted to photograph, so my little photographer heart skipped an extra beat! :)
One thing we loved learning about this couple's relationship is the friend-dynamic: Emily describes, "we were friends for about a year. Then after much persistence from Jason I agreed to date. Then I realized just how wonderful it is to be with your best friend. We had grown trust and friendship which was so strong, then adding love and romance made it perfect." That kind of lasting connection is paramount!
Their favorite part about being married so far is spending more time with each other. "It's a certain closeness and security that words cannot say. It's wonderful."
